Cozy Spring Porch Makeover with The Country Door ®

“Make your front porch a part of your home, and it will make you a part of the world.”~ John Sarris

In this crazy day and age protecting your mental health is so important. Did you know you can actually improve your mental health by spending just 20 to 30 mins outside a day!?

The front porch is a great way to spend time outside. In fact, it’s a southern tradition! Many families spend countless hours visiting with neighbors, playing music with friends, having dinner with their families, or just relaxing. This is why I believe making your front porch cozy and inviting is so important!!!

Here are 5 ways to cozy up your porch!!

I started with this rug from The Country Door!!! A rug is a great way to anchor your space. It also keeps your feet comfortable and clean!! I chose a neutral indoor/outdoor rug so that it could easily be used for any season and/or decor. You can find the rug HERE !!!

Next, add a seating area. This makes your space inviting. It can be anything from a bench, to a swing, to a table and chairs set! This adorable chippy farmhouse style BENCH is also from The Country Door®.

Plants can be stuck in anything!! Here I used a vintage chicken feeder !!

Plants!!! Ya’ll know I’m a plant lady!;) Plants are a great way to bring color and interest to the porch. Plants give your visitors a sense of your style. They welcome visitors into your home.

This GARDEN CART has so many great features! Like a drawer, hooks, an extra shelf, and a metal top that’s easy to clean!

Vintage decor is a large part of my decorating style. This GARDEN CART (also from The Country Door!!!! They’re KILLIN it!!) is adorned with vintage gardening items like birdhouses, gardening tools, and watering cans.

This GARDEN CART could also double as a space to entertain your guests!!! Just add a pitcher, drinks and finger foods! It has a drawer that can easily store silverware and napkins.

Let’s cozy up the space a little more by adding a pillow and a throw. Pillows and throws can add texture to your space. They can also be switched out seasonally. In the spring, I choose lighter colors and materials.

Now for the fun part!!! Let’s add in something whimsical!!! Decorating a porch should reflect your style, season, or current mood. In the Spring, I think of farm life!! New baby farm animals are a big part of farm life. Here I added this cute Momma hen and baby chick chunky wooden cutout from The Country Door.®

So that’s my tips on how to make your front porch cozy and inviting and hopefully how to make it your favorite spot to be this spring!! Big thanks to The Country Door for making my makeover possible and beautiful!!:) As you can see, my space isn’t very big. So your’s doesn’t have to be either!!:) Use whatever space God has given you, dress it up a little bit, add your individual sparkle to it and then watch it bloom into your new favorite spot to relax, host and enjoy! I’d love to see how you use these tips to do just that!!:)

Country Door has such beautiful products at great prices. It is sad that they do not ship to Canada. Great post, makes me want to get going on our deck, our spring has been unusually cold this year.
